Why is terracotta an eco-friendly material? - Sowpeace

World temperatures are rising because of human activity, and climate change now threatens every aspect of human life.
Climate change is impacting human lives and health in a variety of ways. This has led us to live in an eco-friendly manner.
Since the beginning of civilization, terracotta has wowed the world with its strength, beauty, and accessibility.
If you're trying to be mindful of your environmental impact, it makes sense to look for eco-friendly products as alternatives to single-use, disposable items. It's much easier to adjust to an eco-conscious lifestyle than you think.

Here are a few reasons which assures that terracotta is eco-friendly.

Terracotta is 100% natural.

Terracotta is a natural product made from a combination of raw materials from the earth.
The word ‘terracotta’ is derived from the Latin word ‘terra cocta’ which means ‘baked earth’.
Terracotta can be recycled.
The recyclability rate of terracotta is 95 percent. It's porous, it breathes and keeps anything that it stores fresh. Rejected or broken clay can be crushed and reused.
Terracotta is long lasting. It is durable and requires no maintenance. It is resistant to impact.
It’s just taking small steps towards looking after the mother earth to make this planet a better place for our communities and generations to come.
